Also the IGO link you were looking at
Funs the in thing! Not a Beamer in the true sense, but built by BMW,2002 Rover 75 connesiour V6 2.5 ltr 42000 documented ,my baby. Everything original, totally pristine,....so dealership not an option just need my sat nav installed....don't worry I will get there?twice as bad, half as useful but a hell of a lot more fun!!!
sorry - just having some fun with this thread as my only suggestion left is to take the car to a dealership - but being a Beamer, I'd expect you would need to have your cheque book at the ready.
When I look on the iGo website it says put files on usb connect usb to sat nav and uploadWhy was I asked if I had USB connection?
Ok Lets try and clear up a few misunderstood remarks (which if they came from me would not surprise me!!)You also said the maps are on an SD card
Does the car unit take an sd card?
So when you go to the touch screen do you have access to any settings?I can reinstall my IGO9 sat nav which " disappeared
I have been through the settings but noted no indication Bluetooth receive files, but Ill go back and double check....in the meantime I have come across some software which states it can install APK files from Win 10 to Android one click?? Have yet to give it a go........to be honest If I thought it was going to tie up this amount of time and effort for you guys I think I would have left it as it is!So when you go to the touch screen do you have access to any settings?
If you still having settings on sat nav look for bluetooth receive files
Not a problem we still work on other thingsto be honest If I thought it was going to tie up this amount of time and effort for you guys I think I would have left it as it is!
Yes ,one of the first things I attempted, but laptop not recognising car android device as a "drive" to send to? Do I need to have an Android USB driver in place......these are the things regarding android I have no idea what I require in place?Anyway of plugging laptop into car unit with cable
Happily YES! After some research prior to leaving the scene, I did manage to load an APK installer onto my Car android device, I then reinserted my sat nav mini sd card into the devices dedicated GPS slot, which was immediately flagged up on my device as GPS sd card mounted. The next action was to open APK installer which showed both my media card plus my sat nav GPS card.Any updates
