    TeraCopy Reporting Incorrect Transfer Speed?

I’m getting a strange issue with TeraCopy. When transferring files from my NVME drive to my internal HDD it is showing a transfer speed of (this time) 1.3 GB/s which is impossible when transferring files to a HDD. For some reason this only happens when transferring files to this specific internal HDD, if I transfer files to an externally docked HDD it gives the correct transfer speed of around 150 MB/s. I haven’t experienced any issues like corrupt files or anything I’m just wondering why it only happens with this specific drive. Also if transferring multiple files in the GBs file size range it will often just hang for a while, start transferring, hang for a moment, start transferring…etc etc.
If needed I can provide Speccy info.

Yeah, go ahead and upload a Speccy.

Below are some suggestions from a few web searches.

Go to TeraCopy’s preferences and enable “Use system write cache” to stabilize write operations, though this may not fix the display issue.

Disable verification and checksum options, as these can skew speed calculations during large transfers.

It could be misidentifying the drive as an SSD or RAID volume.

        here’s the speccy report.

I’ll go ahead and do those suggested actions.

changing the setting for “use system write cache” seems to have solved the problem. It’s now giving me a more realistic transfer speed.
