Outlook does not look for new mail.

I am using Outlook 2024. When I first turn the computer on in the morning, it downloads all my mail, which is good. But I can leave the computer on an hour or three, and it will not download any new messages, even though I have it set to download new mail every 10 minutes. If I click on SEND / RECEIVE it downloads the new messages. Or if I just click on another folder, like SENT or TRASH, and then INBOX, it downloads the new mail items. Any suggestions ??

I’m assuming it’s the desktop version of Outlook and not part of the M365 suite or online?

In other words, do you access it from a web browser or click an executable on your PC?

                    What OS?
Let’s get a Speccy so I don’t have to keep asking the obvious questions.

                    Download Speccy.
