My PC is underperforming in games and I have no idea why.

Your mobo manual here; https://download.gigabyte.com/FileLi...1b633c206a831e

Go to section 1-7 Internal Connectors.
Area numbered 6, LED_C1, should be what you are chasing. Check page 14 for correct orientation.

I connected it to the led_c1 but it didn’t make any changes to my case fans, none of them are functional

For the interim, plug them directly into the mobo headers labelled SYS_FAN 1, 2 & 3.

Unfortunately I don’t think I’m able to connect them to the sys_fan connection as they are different connection types. I have pictures below to show, but if you’re not referring to this please let me know what I should be looking for.

Hopefully if you go to each fan and follow its cable, there should be the standard 3pin or 4pin connector.
You may find it goes into an adapter to a) extend the length so it reaches your RGB controller, and b) that allows it to get converted into the type that goes onto that controller.

unfortunately this wire connects directly to a fan and I don’t see any other type of connection through this wire either. I also checked the point of connection between the wire and fan but there’s nothing there. This connection is the same for the other 3 fans in the front of my case as well.

Hmmm, bugger me, that shows how far I’m behind in the RGB universe.
Honestly, I’ve never bothered delving too deep into it as it doesn’t interest me - in fact, having all those flashing lights would probably irritate me!

If you look into the pin layout of the SYS_FAN ports on the motherboard and then compare that to the pin layouts of the RGB fans, you may find 3 or 4 pins are the same.
Meaning they can plug into the mobo header ports, just offset a bit.
For example, I’ve put 4pin fan connector onto a 3pin mobo header, with 1pin blowing in the breeze. That unused pin wasn’t necessary for my uses.

But that’s just a temp fix, we need to work out why the RGB controller may not be getting power.
The picture you provided in post #14, that right hand cable, you have that in LED_C1, what about the left hand power cable, that’s in a molex connector coming from the power supply?
Should look like this;
