What are your internet speeds - go to speedtest.net and snapshot the results.

1) Let’s show the complete PC specs using Speccy by Piriform.
In Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
Paste that link into your post.
Is Speccy safe?

2) Let’s list your installed programs using MiniToolBox by FarBar.
In MTB, tick List Installed Programs, click Go then close the program.
A file MTB.txt is created in the same folder, attach that in your post.

Not a good choice of MB I`m afraid as you have a terrible bottleneck going on, the CPU and GPU are screaming for DDR5 5600MT/s RAM performance but are stuck with what is now deemed slow as molasses 3200MT/s DDR4 RAM.

Fwiw, this time next year DDR5 RAM may well be old tech as DDR6 is due either later on this year or early next.

so do you think if a upgrade the mb and get ddr5 ram it may fix the issue do you have any recommended boards for my cpu and gpu i found the
[HEADING=2]Gigabyte Z790 AORUS PRO X and CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz [/HEADING]
do you think these will be more compatible
thanks

The RAM is not appropriate for your CPU, Intel state here up to 5600MT/s and if you were to have XMP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC will become unstable.
Something to keep in mind for the future, a CPU must be compatible with a MB whereas the RAM has to be compatible with both the CPU and the MB, this because a MB can be compatible with faster CPUs than the one in your list of parts and MB manufacturers often state RAM speeds that far exceed that which any compatible CPU can handle, this is misleading at the least or dishonest at worst.

NB: You would be wise to provide the info that Bruce requested so that he can check for any other issues with your present set up.

Did you do the speedtest?

From the MTB report;
[ul]
[li]remove Nortons, it can be re-installed later if proven innocent[/li][li]remove Gigabytes SmartBackup and EasyTuneEngine, again, they can always be reloaded later. I’m not a fan of any sort of bloatware[/li][/ul]
From Speccy;
[ul]
[li]set your Power Profile to Balanced and see if things change[/li][li]disable all the Scheduled tasks[/li][li]disconnect the Corsair drive, labelled as T:[/li][li]the Seagate D:\ HDD is showing SMART errors, while these can be hit and miss, disconnect it for now for testing purposes[/li][li]it shows BIOS version F10d, dated March this year. Gigabyte shows one for May this year, but version F10. So that’s confusing. See here; https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard...upport-dl-bios [/li][/ul]
