Massive Frame Drops every few seconds

Hello, I have been having a recurring issue with many types of games, from simple games like Papers Please to new-generation graphic games like Reddead 2, DayZ, Rust, etc. These frames continue to drop and I have no clue why and it’s incredibly interruptive as I can barely get anything done in the games when I play. Has anyone experienced this issue or know how to fix it?

Clip for reference: Frame Drops - Clipped with Medal.tv

Specs:
CPU: Intel i9 10900K
Motherboard: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Extreme
GPU: 2070 super
2 SSD’s (3.5 Terabytes combined)

Ensure the graphics card driver is up to date.
Are the games compatible with your Windows version?
Which Windows version are you running? Is this up to date?

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

With the exception of Papers Please each of the other games require an internet connection and two things that are sure to mess this up are having more than one AV program running and using a VPN, you are doing both so small wonder that you are having issues.

Virus Signature Database: Up to date
TunnelBear Adapter V9

Having more than one AV or Firewall installed on your computer is bad, it will slow down the computer, cause internet connection problems and leave you with no AV protection at all if they cancel each other out as they fight for resources.

Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 come with an improved Windows Defender, it offers the same real-time anti-virus/anti-malware protection as Microsoft Security Essentials. Windows Defender also shares the same malware signature definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials, and Forefront Endpoint Protection. Technically, Microsoft Security Essentials has not been renamed Windows Defender, or combined with it in Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11.

If any AV product that you have is a paid for version you should always make sure that you have a copy of the product key kept somewhere safe just in case you ever wish to reinstall it.

Bullguard removal info here

Once any other AV has been correctly uninstalled, check to see if Windows Defender has auto enabled and allow it to update and carry out a full scan of your computer.

Get rid of Tunnel Bear.

Once done, restart, test by using the computer as you normally, post back with an update when you are ready.

NB: Gaming online should always be done via the Ethernet connection, faster and less chance of the signal dropping etc.

After doing everything you said to the best of my ability it seems the issue still persists, I tried it on Kingdom Come Deliverance and it did the same thing except it was a lot less severe than the Red Dead clip.

It says that I still have bullguard however it doesn’t appear anywhere I search as I did delete it the proper way (via the instructions from the hyperlink)

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click on Go.
