Good evening, I’m using the teracopy program, which does its job very well, the problem is that when I add single files to the target memory, then I find all the empty folders even if they were full before. Can’t I just insert files after the first file transfer?
Thanks
I’m not sure I fully understand the issue.
so you copy from source to target OK, but when you try a 2nd time, a target folder with files in it suddenly loses those files?

would some pictures help?
when I copy the files everything is fine but when I go to add files then I no longer find the files in the folders (in the target usb device) and property calculates a smaller amount of Gb than those that have been transferred. I understand now?
and this only happens when you use TeraCopy?
copying with File Explorer is fine?
what version of TC are you using?
what’s your OS?
it happens that it does so when I go to add files even using teracopy it does just that. I thought it was a problem of the windows copy management due to the large files transferred.
New version
so you may not be using the latest.
go here Downloads - Code Sector and get v3.9, if the issue still happens, try v2.3
when using TeraCopy have you tried both buttons “Copy with TeraCopy” and “Copy with Explorer” to see if you have the issue when trying each option?
and… does your file copying work fine when not using TeraCopy, and just using the copy/paste function of File Explorer???
I already have the recent version, I download it when more while the program .. I try to move the files with the 2 methods, but it shouldn’t create problems since the files added after are not large files. I’ll make more attempts so I have to do the same
it is not possible to delete files if it is not requested by a command, it is that at the moment I cannot certify on other devices.
yet, if I go to check on euseus manager partition, it marks me how much memory actually remains. I know because I remember how heavy the uploaded files were.
I’m sorry, but it’s hard to explain what’s going on.
no I don’t use file explorer, I’m using t.c. because he didn’t copy the large files to me
no I don’t use previous versions, the latest version is always the best
yes I tried them all 2, all 2 make the files disappear as soon as I add the last file
4 ) I’m using it on a microSD, I’m not that precise .. tonight I try on an old self-powered external hd.
at this stage I am trying to troubleshoot where the issue may be - with the PC in general, with File Explorer, with TC itself, or with the storage device.
using the earlier version of TC may help - the latest is NOT always the best.
if you can copy fine in File Explorer, than the PC and File Explorer are not at fault.
try another target - another USB device or simply another folder on your PC, create one called TEST for example, and what you have been trying to copy to the SD card, see if it copies to the TEST folder - if yes, the SD card is at fault.
so try my suggestions so we can narrow down what is at fault.
how big is the SD card?
how big are these large files you are trying to copy?
how many of them?
