    EaseUS partition manager question.

Hi, has anyone use EaseUS partition manager to expand their Recovery partition? How did it go?
I’ve used this to automatically increase the partition & found several curiosities. 1: It adds a drive letter to System reserved partition (Z) & to the recovery partition (G), the Z partition then shows as a drive under Windows. I can remove this drive letter but the G drive letter only shows under Macrium Reflect when running backup.
Also the text on the recovery partition is deleted so where it usually Says ‘Recovery’ & underneath ‘Healthy’ ‘Recovery Partition’ this is now missing under drive manager. EaseUS state there’s no problems but I disagree.

    This before running EaseUS:

    And after:

Is this normal for partitioning software or am I being misled by EaseUS support?

EaseUS partition manager is my go-to program for playing with partitions.
but I NEVER touch the Recovery partition.
or any of the Windows created ones, unless I’m wiping the drive anyways, I’ve never seen the space benefit.
      been bitten before!

I wouldn’t normally but after the Windows 11 upgrade is was showing red/running out of space so decided to extend the partition.
I have restored everything via Macrium & tried Minitool & this works fine So there’s certainly a problem with EaseUS.

          yeah I’ve seen that before.
Windows usually only makes enough space in the Recovery partition that it needs, and adds like 10% for leeway.
if space gets critical, it’ll look after it itself.
          I’ve never worried about it.

sounds like EaseUS shouldn’t be touching it either.

I’m thinking that too. EaseUS support is terrible, they’re saying it is normal but when pushed they’re now saying they’re sending the feedback to R&D to see if there’s a bug.
I’m going to roll back & leave it.
