When I try to install some software I get this message
" you don’t have permission to save this in this location. Please contact the administrator for permission"“”. I am the only user of this computer.
what is the software?
the account you log on with, is that a Standard user account or an Administrator account?
do you know what location it is referring to?
during the install process, does it offer a chance to enter a folder location?
the software is packetstream
I am the only use of this computer so I don’t know its a Standard user account of Administrator account
I do have a chance to enter the folder location but I don’t think it makes a difference
that software is peer-to-peer sharing of your internet and giving the world access to your PC.
and it sounds like you need to give it Admin privileges to install on your PC.
sounds like a recipe for disaster.
