    lost all keyboard and mouse

    i install an optional update for my ball mouse and everything stop working… tried all kinds of mouse and keyboard possible , can even get in bios or safe mode… :cry:

      ok , its a Asus pc standard size desk tower running windows 10 , AMD processer, im completely ignorant in computer , i would replace it in a heart beat but i have thousands of pictures i cant loose , it start but i cant type the PIN, mouse doesnt work either … event a usb tracking pad doesnt work , what kind of information you need? tks

        Does the computer have the wired PS/2 type ports, if yes, get yourself a wired keyboard as it sounds like the USB ports are not working.

        In addition to the above, you cannot access Safe Mode in Windows 10 by tapping F8 on boot and haven’t been able to since the days of Windows 8, if using a wired keyboard is not an option try the below then get back to us.

        See if you are able to force the computer to start in the Windows Recovery Environment (RE) by starting up and shutting down the computer two or three times using the case power button, please note that you need to shut down the computer after the MBs splash screen and just before Windows attempts to load, if successful you should then continue to the Troubleshooting options and then hopefully be able to use Reset this PC, a system restore point or Safe Mode etc.
