    Software to record application audio

I would an application to record audio that way I can pull it into Audacity and edit it. After looking around, most programs record Audio/Video combo, is there a program I am not aware of that only captures sound?

    Thank you

I’m sure that there are several available.
      I use this one:

      Simple Recorder

Thanks for the suggestion Ardneh. Unfortunately, that seems to be an iOS only application.

Actually, my original link gave a
portable desktop app with the same
          name as the iOS app.

I haven’t been able to find this app anywhere other than the store(s) for the aforementioned devices.

I see, and this exports in a MP3 format? Or how exactly does it work if I may ask?

                It creates .wav files.

Here’s one that makes .mp3 files
I like this one better. It has a simple UI.
