    cant enable all CPU cores.

so i was getting low fps on certain CPU draining games and i was tired of it so i tried to overclock it. I have a i3 7100 3.9ghz with 2 cores and 4 digital processors. i opened msconfig, went to advanced options, and made the number of processors to max. after that it told me to restart my pc but i didnt listen and opened up pubg, i was getting the same performance and after a while my pc crashed with an error. i think i have a photo of the error if it is needed but there isnt much information on it. After restarting my pc, i noticed all my games were running on low fps and even old games like cs1.6 sometimes frame drops to 5fps. So i checked task manager it said i have 1 core and 1 logical processor, which is untrue, before the event I had 2 cores and 4 digital processors. Then i went into msconfig and when i checked the num of cores, it was 1…
any idea how i can fix it???

Hi @LazarBank and welcome to PCHF

The reason why older games use 1 core is because they were designed in 32-bit and only to utilize 1 core. If you try to use more than 1, it could cause stability issues.

If you can attach the screenshot that would be helpful to us believe it or not
