    Good photo software?

Hi, im a photographer and i have alot of photos that i have taken ( many thousand ) with my Olympus E-M5 camera.

I want to find a photo software that suits my needs, and am hoping someone here can offer some suggestions?

The main, and most importaing thing, i am going to use the software for is to manually go through all the photos and tag/ favourite the photos i want to continue working with. Eventually i want those selected photos to be seperated from the rest ( by exporting or putting them in a different folder ).

I tried a software called «Olympus Viewer» i think a few years ago, but after i had taged/ favourited a larg portion of the photos, something apparently went wrong as one day all the favourite/tag data was gone and i had to start all over. This was very demotivating and i did not feel my work was safe with this software.

In later years i chose to use Windows Photos ( running on Win10 Laptop ).
However this software isnt quite perfect for me, it feels more complicated than it needs to be, going to the next/ previous photo is quite slow ( big issue for me ), tagging a photo or place it in an album requires multiple steps/ clicks ( big issue for me ), exporting is kind of a hazzle, and i noticed for some reason that there appears to be some kind of limit on how many photos can be in an album/ favourites folder as photos simply stopped transfering after a set number of photos. Needless to say the result is wasted time and lost work.

Im looking for software that is SAFE ( meaning i can safely mark/ tag/ favourite photos without fearing to loos my tags down the road, ideally a software that seperates tagged photos instantly so that i can feel safe that the tagging data cant be lost ) and something that is FAST ( meaning i can skip fast from photo to photo and quicly tag/ favourite photos with the press og a button ).

Is there any photo software that can fitt this description?
