    Daemon Tools Lite KB3033929 Installation

    Hi.

I have a game which I bought but the disc doesn’t want to be nice to me, so I have an .ISO of the game. (I consider this to be OK because I own a physical copy which I bought for myself. I didn’t make the .iso myself, though.)

I am trying to get Daemon Tools Lite to work on Windows 7. It said I needed to download and install KB3033929 so I downloaded it and tried installing it; however, that then told me “the update is not applicable to your computer”.

I then googled that and came to an “answers” page on Microsoft which didn’t help. It involved using CMD (which I used elevated CMD) to stop 2 services, delete a file, rename some files or folders, and I am guessing register some DDLs, if I remember correctly, and re-enable those services. As I said, it didn’t help.

If someone here could help me get it to work, then that would be great. Alternatively - if someone knows of an alternative to DTLite which works on Windows 7, then that might also be great.

    Thanks.

ImgBurn is a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that everyone should have in their toolkit... and it's free!

I’m looking more to be able to play the ISO with an image-player programme, rather than to burn it to disc.

Pretty sure that will do what you want.

        Here are some alternatives.
