Perfectly Legal copy of Microsoft 2016 about to be deactivated WHY?

I have on my Pc Microsoft Office 2016,I also have the disc.I have been using it for 2 years. Recently due to bad crashes/seizing etc I was forced to do a totally clean reinstall. Now Microsoft are sending me messages to inform my copy of office will close in 4 days. After all these years I have no idea of activation code, apparently there is some way of finding it, but I’m not too well and anyway I have the disc(also reinstalled after factory reset) so why the bother.is there anything I can do to prevent the system doing me a great wrong?

There are so many scare crap like this out there it may be a fake to have you access a false site to steal information and money from you.

I tried my best to contact Microsoft I even have a account with them, but just couldn’t get any sense out of them…if it isn’t a scam it ends in two days Just do not get it!!

Since you did a clean install you did input the product key to activate Office 2016 and you are not running it as a trial version?

That’s the problem where is my activation key,? I can find my copy of 2000 plus 2010 .
2016 I loaded at the time with activation key on label (now long gone!!) But surely MS should be able to recognise a genuine copy??
After the reinstall I had to prove my copy of Win 7 and was sent a code system which I followed and they then accepted my win 7 which I have been using since about 2008.
Why cant they do the same with MS office?

It might but it gives you so many routes to take as opposed to a simple phone call or account checklist all aimed at getting you to buy 365!!!

As I explained to the laptop forum I’m in the middle of serious heart ops going wrong the last on 31st deck!!imp now booked in for a full general and another go at same op,so thoughts not exactly channelled to deal with this, so it looks like I shall use my office only due to d=fatory recovery!!

If you are getting that in MS Office then that is due to the fact it is not activated until you get it straightened out with Microsoft.
