Realtek HD Audio Manager not showing up

I have had Windows 10 for some time and the audio driver was working perfectly fine. Today I got a code 36 for my audio driver. My motherboard is old, but it has been working with the audio driver being fine.
    I went about the following
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver
    • Checking motherboard manufacturer for the driver
    • Checking RealTek for the Driver.
    • checking registry (deleting the filter)(Dont worry I made a backup first)

I think that is everything I have done. The only thing left on my mind would be to reset Windows 10, but I thought I would check here first to see if anyone else had some ideas.
    Thank You

Have you tried going into Device Manager and removing the reference there and allowing the system to find it again?
While in there check to see if there are any Red X and or Yellow ?

Please go HERE and download the portable version of Speccy. Save it to somewhere you can find, locate the file and as it comes as a Zip file use your favorite unzip application to decompress it. Open the newly created folder and double left click Speccy.exe if you have a 32 bit system or Speccy64.exe if yours is 64bit. If you are not sure what your system is click HERE.

Create direct permalinks for your Google Drive files - 1,128,630 links and counting...

Speccy will open and after a short wait will display a summary of your system specs.

      [ol]
[li]Click on the file menu.[/li][li]Then click Publish snapshot.[/li][/ol]

A dialogue box will ask you to confirm, select yes.

Create direct permalinks for your Google Drive files - 1,128,628 links and counting...

      Another dialogue box will open

      [ol]
      [li]Click Copy to Clipboard.[/li][li]Then click Close.[/li][/ol]

Now that your link has been copied please paste it into your next post. It should look something like the example below

BTW: once you have finished with speccy and no longer want it removing it is easy because it is a portable app with no install. Simply delete the downloaded file and folder you created when you decompressed it. Gone:thumbsup:

I had shutdown my computer at the end of the day, and I had a notepad file opened. The computer sat all night waiting for me to either save or discard the notepad file. When I was using it the driver worked fine, but then after sitting on all night waiting for a save or discard the driver no longer worked. I did not get the update till a day later, and have not tired to see if the driver would work.

Would it be worth the try to see if it would work after the update?

By this do you mean uninstalling the driver? I used Device Manager to uninstall the driver as one of my attempts, but it was replaced with “High Definition Audio Device” instead of Realtek HD Audio Device. Currently I am using the “High Definition Audio Device”, I liked Realtek because it allowed me to choose what kind of input/output I wanted (though you probably already know that). If you would like I can reinstall the driver to give you the speccy snapshot.

        Please let me know.

If you have the installation software (drive) for the sound card.
While in Device Manager select View
          Now click Show Hidden Devices

If the Realtek is listed then uninstall it.

          From the Start Menu
          Select Settings
Select Apps and uninstall the driver from there as well (if it is present).
Reboot and then install the drivers and see if that helps.
