    Skype

In Windows 10 I upgraded to new version of Skype. I do not like it… how can I get the old version back? Can System Restore do that? If not how else can I do it?

    older versions available in FileHippo.
and no, system restore points won’t get software back, that’s not what they are for.
they only cover the Registry and a small bunch of system files, mainly the ones dealing with system startup.

Older versions at File Hippo does not work.
When you try to download an earlier version, draws a blank.
      Only latest version will download.

Are you using the Skype app that comes as part of Windows 10, or have you removed that and installed the full Skype application?

If you are using the installed Skype Program you can get old versions HERE you may have to uninstall the one you have first though?

There is a Skype app that is part of a Windows 10 Install, and there is a stand alone Skype program that is installed separately from Windows.

one is a Windows 10 Modern (nee Metro) app.
the other is your typical, stand-alone installed software.
the Modern app has quiet a different GUI.

Haven’t used the Windows 10 included Skype app for a few updates now but it was like a cut down version of the stand alone install version of Skype, with quite limited options.

PS: the brand new stand alone version of Skype has a much improved GUI over previous versions, quite nice.

Thank you. I decided to stick to the version I have.
