I tried to install driver for my USB Capture Device and found problem.
Driver was found and installing, then was instllation stopped and it reported problem:
What means “Compressing this object would not save space”? And how to solve it?
Since you posted your thread in this forum,i am assuming this is the OS you are using. It is possible that the driver for this device is not compatible with Win 10.
I know that Mediatech support provides drivers up to Win7, I was using this device on Windows 8.1 - they provided me driver for Win8.1 x64.
But this driver found Windows Update - and don’t understand what is problem in my first post.
Yes, have news.
Mediatech provided me drivers for Windows 10. But sadly always reports problem and I’m still talking with their support.
New surprise is that when I connected MT4169 to my Windows 10.1709 Pro x64 desktop, it automatically detected and installed drivers without any MT drivers and works.
But target for this device is notebook with Windows 10.1709 Home x64 - detection is ok, but after configuring it reports driver is missing.
I tried MT driver and helped not, even I backuped my drivers from Win10pro and restore selected to notebook, again - failure.
So, I look into Device manager for driver details and copied displayed files in system32\drivers and then moe them to Win10home - but helped not…
I think problem is in Windows 10 Home - Pro has not problem, Home reports failure at installing.
When Mediatech support contact me I’ll report.
