    Free Anti-Theft for Laptops Anywhere?

    Besides Prey Anti-Theft, are there any other free Anti-Theft for Laptops anywhere?

        Any software anti-theft can be erased and rendered useless. You’d be much better off using hardware anti-theft tools

          All anyone has to do is grab your laptop, boot up a live linux distro and remove any security software you have.
          So to echo the above comment, anti-theft software only takes up space and doesn’t offer protection.

                      Most that are effective which integrate their software into the Bios which can not be wiped with a Linux disk, are going to cost you money for sure.

                      There is a list of free ones, but can not say if they are worth anything…
