Thats somthing I’m not sure of, I bought this motherboard dirt cheap, as such it doesn’t have the original box, or the driver CD, hence my troubles. Will it say this somewhere on the mobo?

Have you rebooted the system some things do not take affect until the system is rebooted.

Downloading now… I feel so stupid, but then again, I was so gobsmacked with how pretty the board was I never thought to double check the model. so realistically, I’ve got a worse board then what was advertised. But saying that I still got it for £30 so I can’t complain.

I installed the driver, and.. it works, it still feel completely stupid, thanks for all your help and again I’m sorry for being so dense

Was not you fault you were going by what the paperwork stated.

I am glad that things got worked out and it was a team effort. Is everything else working to your satisfaction?

Everything on that side is fine, but I downloaded speccy when I finally got the net up. and the CPU temps are kind of worrying me, its avergae is 37, but it jumps around irratically when not under load, ranging anywhere between 18 - 45 and it can do it in the blink of an eye. I’m wondering if it’s the software or not.

I’m gonna try and put it under some load, and see what happens then, I believe 65 is the utmost highest “comfortable” range.

Otherwise I’m in the process of catching up with all the windows updates, and updates for the computer, so far all seems good and stable

Again thank you both for the help though, really covered some grey areas which I hadn’t explored, I even learnt a thing or two
