Still the archive option, did you ever set that up?

You also might consider making a thread in the outlook forum that I linked you to. They deal with outlook issues on a daily basis.

Thank you again for taking the time out to helping me out. I know that you and others have done their best to help solve the problem. I really appreciate it.

I will look into archive option again and ill post on that forum you mentioned.

Can I ask one last thing please, do you or anyone else know if there is a way to stop or set a limit of how much email I would like to sync from my gmail account? Like can I set it so that it only downloads say the last 2 years worth of email? Just wondering.

        Thanks

ost is from exchange you can delete it and exchange will recreate it its just a cache of the server unlike a pst file which deletes files on the server and stored them on the pc. Change default location for pst and ost files - Robert 365

Ive given up. Ive re-installed office 2016 and just having to live with the default data location. Nothing seems to work.
