    BSOD (caused by ntoskrnl.exe - attempted to execute noexecute memory) possible RAM issue?

    There was a problem that was bugging me since one year after I got my PC, every time I leave my PC open for more than 6 hours. Everything would just randomly crash and one of the errors would look like this. I’m not sure what was causing it, but I assumed my PC was dirty. I experienced my first BSOD in my pc 2 weeks ago, I was not sure if it was the same BSOD as I said but I’m sure it was.

    [COLOR=rgb(255, 255, 255)]Last Friday, I got my PC deep cleaned. I thought it was fine, but my PC’s experiencing the BSOD more now instead of everything crashing.[COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)] [COLOR=rgb(255, 255, 255)]So I resetted it. Still the same issue. I couldn’t predict it anymore as my PC would choose to BSOD or not at a random interval. I used DriverEasy to check any driver issues but most of them were unnecessary AMD drivers like controllers. I figured the drivers weren’t the issue. The RAM? One of them could be faulty. One of the 8GB DDR4 t-force makes clicking noises when you click a specific part of it (not when you install it) meanwhile the other one doesn’t. I assume it was the problem so I removed it.

    But then, my PC got another BSOD β€” irql_not_less_or_equal. I definitely know something’s up with my RAM. Its probably because my cpu voltage was modified to handle 16 and not 8. So I put it back, only BSOD is the one in title. I believe its the RAM itself. However, it could even be an operating system issue, a driver issue, malware issue, or something else.

    P.S. I’m also looking for advice. I hired a technician though he’s charging me $40 (2300PHP) to install a Kingston DDR4 8GB RAM. Its different from my current ones, could I face any major issues?[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR]

    Different causes of the crashes but most likely caused by the same thing but we need some additional info before going any further;

    What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU and how old is it.

    Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

    Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

    List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
    List Installed Programs
    List Devices (Only Problems)
    List Users, Partitions and Memory size

    Click on Go.

    Post the resulting log in your next reply for us if you will.

        Here it is. Note that I have reset my PC once again and installed the 8GB, but I have experienced another BSOD today.

                    my PSU is the XTC600, i do not know how old is it as my brother was the one who built it

                    i’ll try to update my bios, though i have limited knowledge on the guide telling me to remove my hard drives

                        If the brand is Cougar, then bad news I’m afraid - see here; PSU Tier List rev. 17.0g - Cultists Network
                        Listed as Tier E - Avoid.

                        So one scenario may be, bad current, not refreshing memory fast enough, bits drop out, BSOD.
                        Or, it has failed to protect the circuitry and has corrupted a component.

                        Also, try running the rig with D:\ and E:\ drive disconnected.
                        And run on only one stick of memory, and try different slots.
