Windows Defender does not like something that you have installed, do you have any cracked or unlicensed software on this computer.
    ST1000LM035-1RK172

There is a problem with the Seagate HDD.
Error: (09/16/2023 01:23:11 PM) (Source: volsnap) (EventID: 36) (User: )
Description: The shadow copies of volume C: were aborted because the shadow copy storage could not grow due to a user imposed limit.

Did you check that crash dmps were enabled, the above is telling us that you have put settings in place that restrict the amount of storage space to be used for such things as system restore points, shadow copies and crash dmps etc.

How can I enable crash dumps and disable those settings? I do not remember restricting storage space for those things.

This information was previously provided in my reply #14.

The settings we can help with once you have gotten back to us regarding the below.

I do not have any cracked or unlicensed software now, I might have had something before I formatted my laptop. I enabled the crash dumps too.

What was it and when was it removed, Windows Defender is being tripped up by something on the computer.

Sorry man I do not remember what I had installed, how can I fix windows defender? Should I do a full scan for malware and cracked software?

By all means do a full scan using Defender if only to make sure that the PC is clean, if anything is found by Defender this thread will have to be closed and a new one started by yourself over on the malware removal forums.

                No BSOD at all.

I did a full scan and a Microsoft Defender offline scan. I don’t have any malware or cracked apps. I also got a BSOD when I started my first full scan after 2 minutes.

The minidumps have not been updated since the last time I sent them. I changed the paging file, it was automatically set to 5.8 GB but I changed it to a minimum of 24 GB to a max of 49 GB. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch the BSOD. This could also be a hardware problem I’m not aware of. When there is a BSOD I’ll make sure to upload the minidump file right away.

Look at the above, you must be able to see why we were expecting some new crash dmps.

I’m sure I have found the main cause of the BSOD, my SSD is failing and my laptop is operating slower. I came to the conclusion that my SSD is failing from the stop codes I received when getting a BSOD. I still am not getting any new mini dumps I’ve tried everything, even doing the cmd commands and doing a system format but keeping files and apps. I bought a new SSD which should arrive tomorrow. Here are the BSOD stop codes that I received. One of the BSODs was a kernel data In page error which led me to believe my SSD is failing. Thank you for your help and patience with me.

From my last BSOD, I got a new minidump file I’ll send it here.

Last crash dmp is no help as it just says that a critical process died and that could mean many things, failing hardware included.

If you are getting a new SSD save yourself some time and just clean install Windows and the system drivers to it.
