MB = Asus Z97 pro gamer
    16 gb ram

Did you assemble the system outside of the case?

From the sounds of it the motherboard is shorting out on the case.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

If this is a desktop include the make and model of the Power Supply Unit

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Is the system still outside of the case?
Have you made sure the the stands between the case and motherboard were there?

showing that you just installed the operating system.

                        Operating System
                        Windows 10 Home 64-bit

You need to install windows updates showing that you are still on release 1903.

You sill also need to install the chipset and then the drivers for the hardware that is installed.[/COLOR]

Hi Great will look at updates.

All that is outside the case is the HDD, Yes I cleaned the HDD this morning and did a fresh install in the hope it would clear the problem.

I presume you mean to update windows to release 1909 ?

I had trouble finding the chipset latest drivers and for the other hardware I presume you mean Graphics card ?

                          Thanks

No you need to update to 20H2 release in 10/2020

chipset drivers for the MB as the chipset is what enables the board to be able to communicate with all the other hardware, after the chipset drivers you install the drivers for the hardware in the system.

                            Not a problem

Thanks for that, its been on test for an hour now with no problems, the only conclusion I can come to is a clean install looks to have done the trick.
