    Freezing and restarting

    Hi all

New to this forum and I’m hopeful to get some good tips..

So I have purchased a prebuilt PC through an online supplier. I have an issue which just will not go away

So when I boot up the pc it is ok untill I open Google for example (not program specific as I have tried different programs) where a few minutes later the screen freezes and pixilated a bit and then restarts with no warning..

I have checked starup apps and nothing seems out of place and have disabled a few apps and nothin. I have checked the CPU temps and it’s not going above 30 Deg C.. Updated drivers for motherboard and GPU and still the same thing happens.. I also ran a memory test and comes back no issues..

Sorry for such a trivial question but what else could I try to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

Since this a new system you may want to get a trouble ticket started with them if it is still has a warranty.

Need complete system specs including the make and model of the PSU.

If it can run long enough let get some information this way.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

If this is a SSD skip the Check Disk

Lets run a check disk on the HDD

Run CHKDSK using Command Prompt | PC Help Forum

Download Crystal Disk Information this will give us a more better view of the drive.
Download – Crystal Dew World (crystalmark.info)

Make sure to download the ZP. This will be the portable version and there is no install.
Uncompressed the ZIP file and run the DiskInfo64.exe file.

    Post a screen shot.

Other may have more information for you.

It can be a hardware failure to just something that has come loose during shipping and need to be reseated.

Which is why I stated to contact them so they have documentation that this is happening. That way you are covered under the warranty to have if any of the parts need to be replaced.

                    Hi
                    Quick update
So I contacted the pc builder and they have suggested to reinstall windows 10 and drivers for gpu from online which intend on doing tomorrow. If that doesn’t work they will pick up the pc and have a look for me. Have 3 year Warrenty with the pc builder and they are very helpful. Fingers crossed.

                    I’ll keep you all updated

                    Thanks

It sounds like you need to go ahead and send that in for warranty work

Usually a reboot when googling is the heatsink has become loose during shipping.
