BSOD

I was playing a game in Win 10 64 bit when i suddenly got a BSOD.
Anyone here can help advise the root cause?
I attached the minidump file.

Nothing attached I`m afraid

1. Copy any dmp files from C:\Windows\Minidump onto the desktop.
2. Select all of them, right-click on one, and click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.
3. Upload the zip folder using the Attach button, bottom left of the dialogue input box

Graphics drivers were the cause of the crash and namely dxgmms.sys

Can you tell us what game you were playing and provide the requested info by following the steps below;

Yes, i was playing Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.

Can’t really name a brand, since it was custom built.

We 100% need to know the PSU details and being that the PC is a custom build and not a brand name such as Dell or HP I can`t understand how you do not know them tbh :unsure: take the side off the case to get the info if you have to.

I clicked and selected the parts i wanted, then the desktop was assembled and mailed to me.
I am trying to get in touch with the seller to find out the PSU brand and model.

It would be both quicker and easier for you to take off the side of the case and get the info for yourself, if you are not able to do this then not really sure that anyone can help you as you may need to go inside the case to do some checks and swap parts in and out etc.

Yea, I did try to open it up. But its sooo tightly packed with cables that i am unable to remove the PSU to see it.
The best info i can get is from the invoice.
It states: 600W FSP / EVGA PSU

You have an EVGA branded PSU that uses internal components provided by FSP, it is made using cheaper components so is only any good for running the most basic of PCs and it should not have been used anywhere near a computer that has a high end GPU such as yours, see the info at Which power supply do you need? Gold efficiency rated PSUs as a minimum are a must for anything more than the most basic of add on GPU, this means that the present PSU could be struggling when under load.

Looking at Speccy there are two things I suggest that you do, we will try one at a time;

Go into the BIOS and enable XMP so that your RAM gets auto OCd to the required 3200MHz, save the settings, exit the BIOS, restart the computer and test by playing the game that crashed, post back with an update when ready.

Should the PC crash again after you have enabled XMP, post a new Speccy url when you reply.

The supplier has gotten back to me. the PSU is FSP Hyper K 600W.

They have cheaped out big time on the PSU that they have used in your computer, not even Bronze efficiency rated, no way should a PSU that costs less than 50 bucks be used with a GPU which at this time could cost you over $400 to replace due to the scarcity of replacements.
