Blue Screen error 0xc000000e at startup

Hey folks,

I’ve tried just about every general suggestion for this error as far as startup repair and /bootrec commands go, but the problem has persisted, so I thought I’d look for some more specific help before I start spending on parts.

As far as timing goes, this error happens pretty much every single time I boot up the computer after it’s been powered off for a while. I’ll either get to the login screen or a few seconds past that and then I get a blue screen and reboot. After it does that once, I’m actually able to get on with things and the PC runs with relative stability (though I’ve started to get a few more sporadic blue screens of late). The timing of it makes me think that this is more of a hardware issue, but I’ll leave that to the experts.

For reference, I’m running windows 10 from an NVMe boot drive, and I have an additional SATA drive connected for storage.

So, general question: how do I fix this? More specifically:

• Is this likely to persist if I reinstall windows?
• Is there a chance the storage drive is contributing, in which case, should I format that as well?
• Is this potentially a hardware issue?

There are no crash dmps included in the above I`m afraid..

Windows is shown to have been installed on [COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)] 8/29/2020.

After installing Windows did you next install the drivers for the motherboard and starting with the chipset drivers first and the storage drivers second.

Can you check the Windows update history to see if the two updates below have actually been installed, Speccy shows them to be stuck for some reason :unsure:

That is quite strange. I definitely haven’t reinstalled it that recently. Though sometimes after a crash, it does take me to a windows intro type of screen when things boot back up. But all of my data is in tact when that happens.

I’ll check on the updates when I get home. I did uninstall some updates during startup repair to see if that would solve the problem, so that may be why those are showing.

This whole thing’s a mess… I’d happily format and reinstall windows if I thought that would solve the problem. Just trying to figure out if I need to be thinking about hardware replacement.

That we will be when the version 2004 Windows 10 got installed then.

Can you recall when you first started having issues, if it was around 8/29/2020 it may go some way to explaining the issue/s as the 2004 Windows 10 update has been a real pain for many folk and especially when it comes to add on GPU drivers.

Any idea why there were no crash dmps in the Sysnative folder that you uploaded.
