If the computer runs ok with no add on GPU in the MB you have somewhat narrowed the issue down to being between the PSU/GPU or worse case scenario the both of them.
Yes, my PC works fine without the GPU and just one hard drive.No issues thus far. I even tried plugging in the second hard drive for testing and it seems to be fine. Could it be the GPU is overheating? Iβve popped open the heatsink and applied thermal paste. Not sure if this shouldβve been done.. :X3:
Your testing confirms that the GPU is involved but only as far as the PSU is too weak to support it, changing the thermal compound will change nothing I`m afraid.
You have two options, get your GPU tested in a computer that has an adequate power supply and borrow an adequately powered PSU to test the card in your PC.
Bottom line is that this computer needs a better PSU regardless of what you do.

Unfortunately testing my graphics card on a different PC will not be easy, I will try looking for a better power supply and swap it with my current one.This might take some time though.
