    My crash on factory reset.

    My pc is having some huge issues with performance, and i tried to factory reset to fix these problems. I’ve had problems with crashes on factory resets in the past, but this one is not like the others. Today, i tried to factory reset it, but it crashed after like 1-2 min, and after the crash, it would shut off immediatly after trying to reboot, but if i wait for 10 min it will start up no problem. The only problem is, when i start the pc it will also crash on desktop or when i try to use cleaners and such. And as i said. When the pc crashes it wont start up for the next 10 min. Im kinda left with a piece of box underneath my desk, and i don’t know how to fix it. HELP!

    THINGS I’VE TRIED:
    Starting in savemode to factory reset. Result: still crashes during the reset.
    Looking at temperature. Result: Temperatur is always around 40-50 degrees celcius.
    Looking at overclocking. Result: Overclock doesn’t affect the crashes.
    Turning power usage to ultimate performance. Result: Still crashes.

    Also, the reason i began doing these factory resets, is because i’ve noticed a huge degrade in performance level. I used to play CSGO with 200-250 fps and now i have a hard time hitting 60. Also, i noticed when i moved the mouse ingame, it would drop my fps with 60-80%.

      Welcome to PCHF snask,

      First things first, are you still able to boot into Windows at all, if yes, rather than shutting it down, when not in use put Windows in stand by while troubleshooting.

        I am still able to boot into windows. When you say β€œstand by” do you mean turning off sleep mode? (btw ty for the tip)

          If you click on the shutdown options, do you see an option to select Stand By?

          The behaviour that you describe is typical of something overheating.

          Good news that you can still boot into Windows as we may be able to get a Speccy report, see below;

          Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

          To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

          In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

          In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

          Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

            Im currently trying to run Speccy, altough as said earlier. My pc is crashing quickly after boot, but i managed to get through. Here’s the results Redirecting...
            Seems pretty healthy to me, but right after i copied and pasted the link, my pc shut down. :////

              [COLOR=rgb(226, 80, 65)]Active power scheme: Power saving Change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, the present setting is depriving the video card of power, do not be tempted to select High Performance as that setting is a form of overclocking that causes instability.

                Thanks. I have swapped my power level to balanced. I went to dxdiag to find GPU, and here is what i found:

                  Can you just post the link to the exact card for us, there are different variations of the card and we need to see the correct one.

                            If you are 100% certain that the card at your link is what you have then it would appear to be the problem, as previously mentioned there are different versions of the card and the example discussed here only requires a 600W PSU.

                            Any improvement since changing the Power Plan to Balanced.
