Can I ask how you come to have this version of Windows on a your computer, as described it is for Education facilities and not for personal use.

You need to speak to the repair shop and ask as to why you have an unlicensed version of Windows on your computer, they may have only reinstalled what was previously on the drive meaning that the person that sold you the computer had installed it, either way you need to get it sorted as it may not only be the cause of the problems that you are having the PCHF Terms and rules mean that we can only help you uninstall the illegal version of Windows, clean install a legit version of Windows and MB drivers then go from there if you still have problems.

i think i’m just going to clean install a legit version of windows, it’ll save me the headache of my computer problems. if the problems reoccur then i’ll update.

Why not check with the store first, if the person that sold you the computer did so with a non legit version of Windows installed they should at least give you some of your money back to put towards the cost of you having to purchase a legit version of Windows, tell them that you will report them if you have to.

im gonna check with the dude who sold it, and possibly try to get atleast half of what a legit version of windows would cost.

May I suggest that if you intend approaching the repair store about this that you first of all ask why they installed the Education version of Windows on your computer, as I said in my reply #8 they may have only reinstalled what was previously on the drive and the person that sold you the computer had installed it, if you outright wrongly accuse the repair store of installing an illegal OS they may well be less than helpful and ask you to leave the store and not come back.
