    Frequent Bluescreening (STOP: 0x000000EA)

Hey there. I don’t really mean to be a leech, but i’m more or less limited to fixing moderate PC problems for family members and friends, and only the occasional online question, so I normally don’t sign up for communities like this. I hope it’s not an issue that i’m signing up just to throw my problem out there, but here it is.

Upon Bluescreen, i receive the following error:
The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device its self or with the device programming the hardware incorrectly.

    *** STOP: 0x000000EA (0xFFFFFA8008508B50, 0X0000000000000000, 0X0000000000000000 0X0000000000000000).

I’ve reinstalled drivers twice but the crashes still come, and I haven’t really noticed a trend with the crashes other than that they usually happen if the PC has been on for while, typically a day or so, but that’s not always the case.

I bought the motherboard and cpu/gpu used because i was/am really short on money, so i don’t know how old they actually are. And ~2-3 years ago I was told that the hard drive would die soon, if that helps at all.

I just threw it out there on the off chance. I thought maybe it would be overheating (can reach up to 85c during games), but it’s weird how it mentions drivers/

You are low on free storage space on the HDD and need to free up around 30GB asap.
        1. Copy any dmp files from C:\Windows\Minidump onto the desktop.
        2. Select all of them, right-click on one, and click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        3. Upload the zip folder using the More Reply Options tab, Choose File then the Attach This File tab., bottom left of the dialogue input box.

Can you also post the brand and model name or number of the PSU for us.

          1. I freed up a bit more than that, i’m back up to ~310/465GB
          2. I screwed the pooch on the memory dump, I just cleaned up a bit using CCleaner and i’m fairly sure it wiped those since there’s nothing there.

Without those dump files, we can’t know for certain what caused the BSOD.

The STOP error you’re getting is because the hardware driver isn’t terminating properly. This points to either the graphics card itself or the device driver.

Did you ensure all your drivers are up to date? You said you’ve reinstalled the drivers twice, but were they the most recent version?

If/when i crash again i’ll provide the dump files.

I’m 99% sure the drivers are up to date

What PSU do you have? If your PSU doesn’t have enough voltage on the 12V rail, it can cause BSODs as well

I don’t remember but if i recall correctly it was more than enough, and the issue is just a very recent thing so idk why the PSU would be to blame

So I thought i’d give an update.

I re-installed drivers one more time and I stopped the processor’s overclocking, which apparently Asrock has on by default. I’ve also been shutting down the computer a bit more frequently. So far I haven’t had any problems, i’m not sure if it fixed the issue or not, but things seem better atm.

                    Maybe things are resolved?
