Blue Screen From Security Update

The update above caused a BSOD for some reason. The error code was> Critical Process Died. Can yens figure this out for me please? For right now, I have the update hidden & excluded. I currently have no dumps to upload, sorry.

Without the dump files we can’t determine what caused the BSODs. But go ahead and upload a MTB log for us

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:

List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Please post the log in your next reply

Also do the following:

Please download the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App - save to Documents folder.

Run the app - Double-click on the downloaded EXE file
Output = new folder created in Documents + a zipped version – SysnativeFileCollectionApp folder + SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip.
Please note that the app averages ~3 minutes to run on most systems; other systems - it my take as long as 10-15 minutes to run. Please be patient.

Also note: The app auto-zips the SysnativeFileCollectionApp output folder. It is located in your Documents folder.
Windows Explorer should open and highlight the zipped folder

Please attach the SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip to your post and await further instructions

Would you like me to use MTB for that?

Did you delete the dump files? The logs say there’s supposed to be dump files but none exist.

I did mention that I have no dump files to upload. Sorry.

I’ve been busy working.

Without dump files, I can’t determine the cause of the BSOD. Do you at least have minidumps enabled?

Do you remember what the BSOD said when it occurred?

The BSOD said β€œCritical Process Died”. Shall I cause the BSOD to happen again to get the dump file you need?
