Again, nothing to update. The old fixed driver tends to give BSODs, the most recent just freezes. Awaiting further suggestions but folk seem to have run out of ideas. I may need to find cash for a better graphics card but dread spending money I can ill afford on a random card just to find it has the same problem. Still an issue, unfortunately.

Much as mentioned last time, the situation isnβt changing. It still has the issue and I think folk have come to an end of advice.
Unless there are recommendations of cards to consider. Unsure when I can get around to buying a new card though.Comment

Ah, thereβs the rub. From past experience I can pluck a budget figure out of the air but I tend not to stick to it. Either I start of deciding I want to find something really (and unjustifiably) good and poring over the luxury items until I finally decide Iβm dreaming, get down about compromise and reduce any original budget, or I spend ages looking at what I can afford and eventually push the budget up and up to try to get a better item for the money. It seems any budget started with never seems to relate to the one I end up with.
Iβd like to find information on what I paid for the Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 all those years back, to give me a clue as to a minimum start figure, but do you think I can find anything ? What if we start considering something around the Β£400/Β£450 mark ? Iβm unsure whether I can justify that but I donβt want to be disappointed in the result either.
Thanks.Comment

Unlikely to be now. Did check jmarketβs suggestion, was a little concerned whether, at the price, the spec would be better than I already have; but not found the time to make a detailed check. And what with the car insurance bill due soon, unlikely to be splashing out on a graphics card immediately.Comment
