Game delay

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I have some game delay which somehow gives me less time to react, and feels either desynched or like I’m a few frames behind the actual game. I never had this with the laptop I have just gotten rid of, but now I’m properly struggling in games, even though my fps is higher and ping is slightly lower. I have tried reinstalling windows and my graphics drivers and currently found nothing that works.

Im not sure if it’s to do with windows or my actual laptop, not sure if I installed windows wrong or anything. Games run on other devices fine.

Sorry but you have post on a tech forum asking for help but have provided zero information about your computer or it`s hardware, this makes it impossible for anyone to even hazard a guess as to what is going on.

What is the brand and model name or series number (not serial) of the computer and what games are involved, providing these details will enable helpers to better assist you.

Can you answer the above that was also asked.

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/x...qMddREdFFwp0Ha here is the published speccy.

It happens in all games, in close combat games, I get damaged when I don’t get hit and seems like my game is behind (roblox)

and in ranged games, I get hit round corners and feels like I get no time to react at all. (fortnite)

and my bad, sorry for quoting

It was on windows 11, I had the same issue there, so I moved it back to Windows 10 with the media creation tool

Always prefer to be straight so will be here, the set up is a mess and so bad in fact that the whole thing needs to be done properly from scratch.

What do you know about RAID.

You get five minutes to edit a post, please use it rather than double post, thanks.

Based on certain info that you have provided and your reply #8 in particular I am going to go out on a limb and say that it is nothing to do with Windows or the notebook but ( A ) the computer is not set up correctly and ( B ) you are using a wireless connection for gaming and that sucks at the best of times.

I know nothing about RAID tbh. Sorry for the double post. I have the same issue with wireless and wired, I do have an ethernet right next to me, but I literally sit with my laptop and internet box on the same desk. I’m unsure how the computer hasn’t been setup correctly. How do you set it up correctly?

From your Speccy report;
Storage
Hard drives
NVMe Micron_3400_MTFDKBA512TFH (SSD)
Serial Number: 22373BC5B0C3
Firmware Version Number: P7MA000
Interface: RAID
Capacity: 476 GB
Real size: 512,110,190,592 bytes
RAID Type: Software RAID

RAID = redundant array of inexpensive disks which is a way of immediately duplicating the same data in two different locations, examples two different storage devices or two partitions on a single large storage capacity drive, you have neither of these yet as you can see in your Speccy report you have installed RAID drivers which is totally wrong.

Before we go any further, question for you, have you realistically used 156GB of storage space on the SSD in less than a week.

I didn’t even know I had raid installed. And Im not sure about 156gb, only games I have is Fortnite, CS2 and Roblox. Those games don’t add up to 156gb I don’t think.

Didn`t think that you had used so much space so it looks like you may have two of everything on the drive.

You 100% need to start afresh and if the computer shipped with Windows 11 that is what you should install, Windows 10 is end of life in less than 12 months so do this right now and forget about Windows 10.

Did you get an installation disk with the computer.

I have just looked up on how to disable raid on my bios, it’s a secret setting that can’t ordinarily be found, so I’ve done that. I’m going to reinstall windows but go to windows 11

If you want our help it will be provided but only if you do as asked and nothing else, the present set up was done wrong yet here you are heading off to no doubt do it wrong again.

You didn’t answer my question nor have you been provided with the steps that you need to follow so as to avoid getting into the same mess.

I have a CCTV set up to do so won`t be around for a while.
