    Gaming randomly got jumpy

    Hi guys hoping someone can guide me in the right direction here. I am normally able to fix issues myself but this one I need help with.
    Bought a new PC a year ago, and have played many games (WoW, ark survival, No man’s sky, factorio and similar) on highest settings with no problems . These last few weeks I have been playing 7 days to die and factorio space age again on the highest settings. Yesterday I took a break from gaming for a few hours and when I came back to playing 7 days to die, the gameplay was quite jumpy. As in it kept freezing for a second every 15-20 seconds. I lowered the graphics settings on the game and no difference. I loaded factorio and same thing was happening. In fact factorio just crashed and vanished off the screen when I tried running across the map!
    I have updated graphics and processor drivers and updated nvidia ge force programs etc, and also anyivirus/malware. Still happening and I don’t know where to turn next.

    System info
    Windows 11 64bit
    12th gen Intel core i7-12700
    Nvidia geforce rtx 4070
    Kingston snv2s2000g drive
    32gb ram

    Any ideas of where to turn next? Any diagnostic program I can run to figure out what is causing the problem?

    Tia!

    For future reference, rather than set about updating or changing things look into anything that may have just changed without you knowing, Windows updating for example.

    Have you checked for a system restore point that is before the issues first happened.

    Have you checked the video quality offline, online gaming frequently has issues with a wireless connection being far worse than an Ethernet connection.

    We could do with some additional hardware information;

    What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

    What is the brand and model name or number of the MB.

    What is the brand and model name or number of the RAM and how many stick of it is there.

      Being that the OP revisited the forum at least twice but chose not to acknowledge my reply this thread will be closed.
