Can't open old games that used to work on Windows XP and Windows 7

I have trouble starting an old game on Windows 10. The games in question is called Go-Go Gourmet and Go-Go Gourmet 2 Chef of the Year, cooking and hidden object-styled games. You see, these games are playable in Windows XP, and 7. But when I upgraded my computer system to Windows 10, the games are now unplayable. I tried all the compatibility settings in the properties but it is still not working. Even if I am be able to open Go-Go Gourmet and Go-Go Gourmet 2 Chef of the Year, they just showed a blank screen and when I checked the Task Manager, they are not responding for long time.

The question is: Is there a way to make Go-Go Gourmet and Go-Go Gourmet 2 Chef of the Year along with other old games playable again?

Below here are two pictures of when I opened Go Go Gourmet.

1. When I first opened Go Go Gourmet, my screen resolution was changed from 1920 x 1080 to 800 x 600, and Go Go Gourmet just stuck to the right corner and went black screen instead of launching the game.
2. I changed my screen resolution back to 1920 x 1080. But Go Go Gourmet is still not running.

My solution would be to get Virtual Machine (VM) software. like Oracle’s VirtualBox, or VMware’s Workstation Player.
Used both in the past, both very good.
You load the software, and from within that, you load your Windows XP or 7 image. You’ll need the Product Key during installation as you are loading an actual Windows version albeit it in a virtual environment.

If you have Win10 Pro, that has VM software inbuilt, called Hyper-V. It’s disabled by default but can be turned on by going into “Turn Windows features on or off” in Control Panel > Programs & Features.

OK… I got the Hyper-V enabled. What’s next?

I haven’t used Hyper-V in about 6 years, so I won’t bore you with guesses and fragmented memory options, but I do remember it was fairly straight forward.

Well, it turns out Go Go Gourmet can be opened but… I had to change the screen resolution to the lowest and open it. Kind of a nuisance. But at least, it is openable.

I would install Virtual Box.
Install either Windows xp or 7 and install the game.
