COD MWIII And Other CODS Run Bad

Hello, I have a 4060 ti, ryzen 7 3700x, and 32 gigs of ram. My pc should be more than enough to run COD but even after upgrading from a 2060 and 16 gigs of ram I’ve been having the same problems since forever ago with all of the cod games, which is constant stuttering and fps drops no matter the settings I tweak and things I do within my pc and hardware config. If anyone could help me figure out the problem and get it so I can finally play COD I would greatly appreciate it after so long of troubleshooting!!

let’s get your complete PC specs.
get Speccy; Speccy - Download Builds
in Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot (hit Yes if prompted to proceed with publish) > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
now you can paste that link into your next post.

Speccy doesn’t show the Power Supply Unit so, if a Desktop PC, list the make/model of the PSU.

Is Speccy safe?

also go to www.speedtest.net and post a screenshot of your network speeds.

nothing wrong with the internet speeds!

your C:\ drive is down to 17% free, so reclaiming some space wouldn’t be a bad thing.
D:\ drive is showing some errors, running the PC with that disconnected would be worth testing.

FPS drops are not my thing per say, as I’m not a gamer but here is my stock standard response, see if anything helps.
if you have your PC as lean and clean as you can make it, that’s part of the battle.
sadly, the other parts may be outside your control like; number of users/devices on your network, bandwidth, line attenuation, signal to noise ratio, etc.
logging into your modem’s config menu will show these values.

some other things to try;
[ul]
[li]reboot modem/router/pc[/li][li]delete restore points[/li][li]turn off hibernation (powercfg -h off)[/li][li]empty web browser cache[/li][li]delete system temp files[/li][li]scan Windows for system corruption (sfc /scannow)[/li][li]scan drive for file corruption (chkdsk c: /r)[/li][li]disable unwanted scheduled tasks[/li][li]disable unnecessary startup services[/li][li]disable scheduled defragging[/li][li]TRIM any SSD’s[/li][li]turn off Timeline and Activity History, and all things Microsoft Telemetry based[/li][li]empty recycle bin[/li][li]delete log files and error reports[/li][li]remove old Windows Updates files[/li][li]cleanup software installer and distribution caches[/li][li]delete unwanted programs[/li][li]remove any browser extensions[/li][li]if connecting via wireless, try ethernet[/li][li]pause any online cloud storage synchronising (OneDrive, DropBox)[/li][/ul]
CCleaner (free version) or Glary Disk Cleaner or the inbuilt cleanmgr command can do most of those points.

ShutUp10 by O&O Software can stop a lot of telemetry items.

other things to try;
[ul]
[li]create another user account and login under that profile[/li][li]check for firmware updates for modem/router and PC BIOS[/li][/ul]
it could also be performance rot, and doing a fresh install of Windows may help.

Another issue that I see is there is more than one AV running will cause issues.

Running Two AV's - posted in Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, and Privacy Software: I have been told by a local expert that contrary to my long standing belief, that running two AVs on the same PC is permissible and causes no conflict. The theory being that what one does not catch, the other does.   Is this astounding revelation true ?   They are using Spybot and Avast on the same PC.

Antivirus
Malwarebytes
Antivirus: Enabled

Windows Defender
Antivirus: Disabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date

McAfee VirusScan
Antivirus: Enabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date

Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 come with an improved Windows Defender, it offers the same real-time anti-virus/anti-malware protection as Microsoft Security Essentials. Windows Defender also shares the same malware signature definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials, and Forefront Endpoint Protection. Technically, Microsoft Security Essentials has not been renamed Windows Defender, or combined with it in Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11.

If any AV product that you have is a paid for version you should always make sure that you have a copy of the product key kept somewhere safe just in case you ever wish to reinstall it.

Please create a new system restore point first.

McAfee product removal tool (MCPR) here

Once McAfee has been correctly uninstalled, check to see if Windows Defender has auto enabled and allow it to update and carry out a full scan of your computer.

Once done, restart, test by using the computer as you normally would, post back with an update when you are ready.

For testing put the power scheme to balanced.

A problem I’m noticing is my ryzen 7 isn’t going up to 3.6 ghz or clocking up to 4.4 during load. It’s basically sitting at 3.5. Idk if this is causing the stuttering in cod

3.6Ghz is the base frequency, 4.4Ghz is the boost frequency.

I’m not experienced with AMD, always kept to Intel, but I believe AMD automatically boosts the processor clock speeds if it can.
so if yours isn’t, see if anything here helps; https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/cpu-pb2
