Did I buy a HWID banned setup? (Call of Duty/Warzone)

A few days ago I found a secondhand 4090/13900k PC build on facebook marketplace for a very good price and decided to pull the trigger. I was a little hesitant about getting scammed due to the low price and the hardware being sold, but I got it home and everything works as expected. The guy that sold it to me mentioned that he had previously played fortnite and that his account got hacked and banned. According to him he lost a lot of money when he lost the account, so he lost interest in gaming. When I heard him talk about the hacking and account loss it kind of made me feel funny, so I asked if he had ever play warzone and he said it he had a few times but not very much. I asked if his account was ever hacked or banned on COD and he responded “never”. I was more concerned about receiving broken hardware at the time, so I kind of let the thoughts of the computer being HWID banned go. I got home and fired it up and reset the windows and installed battlenet/COD. As I was logging in a gut feeling told me to test it with another account, so I used my wife’s account (Which she never uses). I played in 2-3 games for a total of 5 minutes running around the map to see what type of FPS I would get on the setup (I was super excited). I woke up this morning and worked on some tuning on the pc and check FPS again and I couldn’t get into a game (Ping instantly went to >200). I then checked the Activision website, and it states the account is under review aka (shadowban). My wife hasn’t used the account in about 9-10 months(Level 18 in game). The account has been under review for about 72 hours, so I can’t appeal yet. I’m prepared to show any proof that they require to unban the computer/account, but based on reading other peoples experiences they may not be interested in helping me even with proof. I have bank/paypal with cpu purchase in the notes, and all correspondence to and from the previous owner.)

Also, I’ve never used ANY form of cheats and I’ve never had ANY type of ban. Now, I’m terrified to log into my own account on the new pc, so I have a super nice paperweight until I get this figured out. I’m thinking about ordering a new Motherboard, SSD, and RAM. Thoughts? I’m 1000000% legit and I don’t want to lose my account because to previous owner was doing something shady. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. (Not that it matters, but I payed $2000 for a $4000+ build.)

(Also, I’m not intertested in spoofing or any other temp soulutions.)

    Hello

Have you thought about, just doing a total clean and format the HDD and start over?

I wanted to upgrade the SSD anyway, so I ordered one, but reading other threads on other websites I’m thinking that at a minimum I’ll need to replace (Motherboard/SSD). I’ve searched for 2 days trying to find someone that has been in similar situation and swapped MB/SSD with success.

The hard part is figuring out what HWID “they” banned. It could be the SSD serial #, the Network Interface MAC Address, The GPU Serial # or a combination of all.

I’m hoping the GPU isn’t banned. I literally bought the build because the GPU alone is worth the amount I paid.

                first step reinstall windows.
                Reinstall Win 10 Fresh Install

Download the win 10 tool run it to recreate the flash drive – Must be minimum 8GB

                Download Windows 10

                Watch this video
How To Install Windows 10 From USB - YouTube

In the video at 2:35 Where to install Windows. Highlight each partition and delete.

Then install on the unallocated space.

In the video at 2:54 you will notice it restarts the computer.
When you are doing this and you get to that point Remove the usb stick whilst it is restarting.
Also if you want to setup a local account instead of logging in with a Microsoft account
Turn off your wireless network and or remove the network cable.
This point is 3.32 in the video - Choose I don’t have internet.
If you want to log in with a Microsoft account then leave the network as is.

Before doing any install, it is a good idea to go to the support page for your system. Download the drivers you are going to need i.e. chipset, sound, video, wireless, etc. Whilst Win10 has a lot of native drivers, Microsoft drivers are designed for ease of use and are NOT designed for any type of performance. Store these drivers on another usb or you can even just make a folder on your install usb when you are finished making the install usb. Copy the drivers into that folder.

When you are finished with the Windows install, then install your drivers.

                Reboot after installing the drivers
