    A note before I follow those next two steps. I am starting to believe that this is may be an issue with games that use EasyAntiCheat. I’m not entirely sure yet but I’m gunna download a game I havent had on my computer in awhile that also uses it. Standby for just a moment, and a new Speccy log will follow.
    The games that I have been having this issue with;
    1: Rust
    2: Apex Legends

      Prior to launching your game, download and run KillEmAll – d7xTech.com (formerly Foolish IT)

      As admin. This will kill all non essential processes. Let us know if the game starts after running this.

        Okay so I downloaded and launched two other games that use Easy Anti Cheat and they launched without a hitch. So I don’t believe thats the issue.

        There’s the Speccy log. Results for your most recent recommendation to follow.

          I know you say you have already, but could you uninstall the games you are having issues with, reboot and then reinstall and try to run again. Make sure and install these games on your C: drive.

            No change with running the most recent recommended program.
            Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, one of the games and no change.
            These are the only two games I am having this issue with…

              With my Speccy Log; do you think that my motherboard is out of date, and could it be causing these issues? I honestly started googling different stuff to see if I could find anything and one solution someone had for Rust specifically, is to update BIOS. I have never done a BIOS update so I’m not sure if mine is out of date. I attached the link to MSI’s website for my motherboard.

              https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-...X-WIFI/support

              Another thing I am seeing is clearing CMOS. Not sure what that will do for me but I’m just throwing stuff out there to see what you think.

                have you tried creating a new PC account and logging in under that profile and see if things change.
                but for me, I’d be backing up my data, wiping the drive and reload Windows from scratch.
                install the chipset drivers and the GPU software.
                install one of the problematic games and see if that works.

                if not, you have a hardware issue.
                if it runs OK, add one program at a time and see when the freezing starts.

                yes, big hammer approach and tedious but it’ll pinpoint the culprit probably faster.

                  I would not change gpu voltage
                  I would remove msi afterburner - can be reinstalled
                  Test

                    When you uninstalled the games did you just use Windows own or a third party?
                    I would try Revo Uninstaller free to remove & cleanup any remaining files & registry entries which may be causing the problem.
                    Download Revo Uninstaller Free helps you to uninstall software and remove unwanted programs easily. Remove all uninstall leftovers and traces

                      Okay, so from the top;
                      @Bruce I did a full wipe last night and started from scratch. After I got the drivers downloaded I downloaded ONLY the game and it did the same thing. A detail that you mentioned that I want to make sure that I’m clear on is; when I launch Apex specifically, no FREEZING takes place. It will start to boot like normal, but 1 second into the intro video, it will immediately close to desktop without an error code or anything. When it comes to Rust it will make it past the launcher, into the full screen part where it says “loading bootstrappers” etc., and when it gets to the “music something” it will close to desktop with no error.
                      @PeterOz I DID undervolt the GPU but reverted back, shortly after that produced no results. At this point everything is set to base settings. MSI Afterburner is only installed to monitor temps and adjust fan speed.
                      @Bastet I have uninstalled using Windows, 3rd party uninstallers, Manually removing all files related to it. Pretty much every way that I can think of. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the games, well into the double digits at this point.

                      I really appreciate all of the feedback. Thank you for being such a helpful and supportive community. At this point I think that I am going to pursue replacing hardware. The first issue that I had to deal with was a motherboard that didn’t have all of the holes for the CPU socket completely poked out, so it caused the original CPU pins to bend, BADLY. Microcenter replaced the MOBO and CPU, so I’m hoping that I can explain my situation to the staff there and possibly someone there has had the same issue, and will help me get whatever I need replaced. Again thank you all for your time.

                        can you download AMD GPU driver Adrenalin 22.4.1 4/5/22 from Click on me
                        use ddu to uninstall your current driver.

                          with a fresh OS installed, the chipset drivers, and just one game - it sounds like either that game is not compatible or you have a hardware issue.
                          the way you describe the game just aborting to the desktop sounds like that game doesn’t run on your hardware.

                          as to pinpointing the hardware in question, that’s the needle in the haystack exercise.

                          fingers crossed Peter’s suggestions yield results. (y)
