No problem that is to be expected, if you have disabled everything you can, then reboot and test a game. Let us know the result.

Just a heads up Mal, the OP did indeed have a similar thread but saw fit to abandon it, they were advised in that thread that their HDD was failing but have since done zero about it, see previous thread hereComment
-
Soooooo I should take it for physical inspection phill? Cause even though they warned me, I have 0 clue how to fix this issue
Malnutrition, Ill tell you if it worked out tomorrow, got some egzam stuff to do atm. But thanks for all your tips! ill keep you updatedComment

You would have been advised how to proceed had you actually stuck around, three out of three threads you have previously abandonedComment

Phill, I truly am sorry for what happened. Every response I had back then was answered in a couple of days. So when I posted the thread you answered last + the one week I waited for an answer, I figured people just went to the thread and after seeing your message figured that it’s not worth helping me ://
And I totally do not and would not have blamed them. I came back here to make a new account and try to look for an answer, but then I saw that people have actually answered my last thread, but it was a long time ago, so it got terminated ://
This right here was my last attempt at it. I personally apolagised to Bruce and explained him the same reasoning ://
But, as I said, it was completely my fault, and at the time maybe I didn’t fully comprehend how much work and effort is being put into helping people here for completely nothing. And at this point, I’m just embarased and I feel stupid for it.Comment

It is really disrespectful when people just take what they want from helpers and then head off into the sunset without so much as a thank you etc.
Put the previous threads behind you and let bygone be bygones.Comment

I’ll leave this here… @phillpower2 If you wish take the reins of this thread, hardware issues are not anything I really deal with.
@RordonGamsey Run these two tools to check the status of your HDD, post the resulting screen shots of both programs.
Hd Tune scan.
Download HD Tune and save the file.
Install HD Tune and restart it after installation.
Then go to the tab Error Scan , select the hard drive you want to check and press Start .
The check can be quite time consuming take depends on the size of the hard drive check.
Take a screen shot of the result and save it.
Upload the image here.
Do Not tick the quick scan!!
Step 4 Crystal Disk
Download and run CrystalDisk info standard edition from here
Run the program as admin, grab any screenshots and attach to your next reply for us.Comment

It’s fairly obvious at this point, the D: drive needs to be replaced before it fails and you are unable to retrieve your files from it. Nothing more can be done, until that drive is replaced.Comment

Ok, then I guess ill have to change it :// but HEY your methods actually worked I think. I played Deep Rock Galactic today (a game that usually crashes at the end of a match) and it didn’t crash, for the first time in a whileD so I’m thinking that ill just save my most important things on the drive somewhere on a cloud or another disk and see how long it survives. If the crashes keep happening, I’ll just go ahead and replace it.
I am VERY thankful for your help, I really apreciate the work you guys put into helping other people. Everything you do here is God’s work, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day, week and year. I will now know for a fact where to go if any other pc problems occur.
Once again, I am truly sorry for all of the misconceptions I have made in the past, I was being a selfish idiot who didn’t see at the time the work that is being put into everything.
Once again, thank you with the bottom of my heart and hopefully I don’t have to come back here again xd (not in a negative meaning, but PC problem wise xd)Comment

Ok, glad it’s working for now anyway, I do know how to squeeze performance out of a computer. Here is another example of these methods working. The guy said he ran the batch file and the logs said otherwise, ( I pointed that out) when they actually followed my instructions it worked.
I wonder how many times people just pick and choose what they want to do and get mad at the results…???♂️But there’s no doubt the drive is on its way out. So like you say backup your important files, and ride it till the wheels fall off.Comment
