    2nd monitor program

    Hello,

I play a game called Lineage2 and the server i am on it uses an old client that doesn’t work perfectly on recent OS.
I have a 2 monitor setup and i want to use this game on my 2nd not main monitor but whenever i drag it the game either freezes or glitches out and i have to close it..when i open it again it starts on my main monitor..The 2nd monitor has different resolution since it’s an older monitor..
All i’m asking is there any way i can force the program to start on the 2nd monitor?
Ask me for any further info you might need.

    Thank you

what version of Windows are you using?

I have done this before (pretty sure) where I wanted a command console to open on a particular point on the second screen - but that may just be a CMD window thing.

I’m trying to find how I did it but I’m in away from my home and work PC’s where I would have done it, at the moment.

a quick and dirty work-around may be to make the 2nd screen the primary screen so the game opens on what it thinks in the main screen but in fact is the 2nd monitor.

            Hello Bruce,

            I am using windows 10

I have already tried it to make it my main monitor and it kinda works..but it messes up the “good” monitor and it’s incovenient for me since i use both monitors a lot…I also have tried a program that forces borders on a program and you can force it to start on the 2nd monitor but it also glitched..

              Bugger!
Maybe it’s simply a fault with that game.
Have you checked out their website or community forum (if they have one) to see if it’s a known bug?

                  Try this
                  [ol]
[li]Ensure all instances of the app are closed. …[/li][li]Open your program.[/li][li]Move it to the monitor on which you would like it to open by default.[/li][li]Hit the Windows key + Shift + Enter.[/li][li]Close the application, and open it again - it should now open on the correct monitor.[/li][/ol]

I have tried this..The game doesn’t have borders so i can’t drag it..I can move it with shift+windows key and directional key..After i do that it becomes glitched out and i can close it with right clicking on the program on the taskbar or using the task manager..After that when i reopen it it opens on the main monitor.
