    League of Legends - Blurry Horizontal Line in Client

    Hi there,

    When I play league of legends, after character select when the in-game client launches, there is a blurry line at the bottom where the Windows taskbar would be.

    I have tried the following, all unsuccessful in resolving the issue:
    • uninstalled and re-download the game
    • re-install drivers and make sure up to date
    • minimize taskbar/move it to a different position
    • toggled with my NVIDIA control panel specifically for the in-game client
    • toggled settings in the client

    I play in full screen and this issue has only recently happened, but won’t go away. If I switch to a windowed client, it does go away but it is not ideal to play.

    Does anyone have a fix for this or seen this before? It only happens in League of Legends, no other game I play has this issue (Halo, COD, APEX etc).

    Please help, I am absolutely out of ideas for this!

    what is your OS?
    if Win10 or 11, you can set the taskbar to auto-hide.

      I had the task bar hidden, even moved it to the top of the screen, still the same issue.

      Pretty confident it isn’t to do with the taskbar, just a coincidence on the location of the blurry line.

          I’m not a big PC gamer - mainly Big Fish games - so my answers may not be specific.
          If you move the taskbar to the top of the screen does the problem also move to the top?
          Have you tried uninstalling the game using Revo Uninstaller, scanning for leftovers then installing the game again?

            Yeah I moved the taskbar and the problem stays at the bottom, I am trying to upload an image but the file size is too big?

            Yeah have used Revo Uninstaller - didn’t work.

            The game has Fullscreen, Borderless and Windowed as settings to play. Borderless works fine which I will use for now but the problem still exists in full screen.

            Won’t say the problem is solved but I have a work-around.

            I haven’t seen this before, it is such a weird issue.

              Does the problem occur with any other games? If not then the problem most likely is with the game. I would recommend contacting the game’s developers or posting on one of the game’s forums.
