    fallout 4 looks choppy despite high fps, running at 144hz game looks like 60hz

    i have been having this issue in most games here I my specs

    cpu: Intel® Core™ i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz

    ram: corsair vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 3600 MHz C20

    cpu cooler: corsair iCue H100i PRO XT RGB

    ssd: nvme western digital_black SN750 500 GB

    HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB

    GPU: MSI NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER

    mother board: Aorus Z290 Pro Wifi

    Case: Corsair Graphite Series 780T White

    Monitor: Acer Nitro VG271 27" Full HD 1ms 144Hz Gaming Monitor

    Speccy Scan.

    [li]Please go here and download Speccy.[/li][li]Install and run the program.[/li][li]Upon Completion:[/li][li]Hit File[/li][li]Publish Snap Shot[/li][li]A link will appear, post that link.[/li][/ul]
    Step 2: Get System Info Log.

    Include in your next reply a Get System Info log.
    Save it to your desktop when complete.
    Once you have the file on your desktop, then upload it here, and Here.
    Copy the URL after your report is loaded.
    Then send us the link.

    Step 3: ScanRapide.

      Fallout’s game speed is tied to the fps, if it’s not 60FPS the game will be sped up and play weirdly. As much as I am in favor of higher refresh rates, it won’t work well (I tried!)

      If you still wish to unlock them:

      This PC > Documents > My Games > Fallout4

      Open Fallout4Prefs.ini in notepad,

      Find iPresentInterval=1 and change it to iPresentInterval=0

      Please not that as mentioned before, the game might act weird or start glitching when doing this, Bethesda never made the game to be run at higher framerates unfortunately.
