Low GPU usage and CPU at 100% in all games

    Hello everyone,

I’ve been having this issue for like 6 months now where my GPU runs only at 50-60% while my CPU is maxed out 100% while playing any game.

    My Specs:-

    i5 8600K

    RTX 3070 8GB

    8x2 3200mhz (Running at 2666mhz)

    Gigabyte B360M

    Corsair HX750

I previously had a GTX 1060 paired with the same specs above and was still having the same issue so I bought the 3070 about 2 months ago and was hoping the issue would get fixed but it didn’t.

Here are a few examples of the issue:-

RDR 2 High GPU Usage:- YouTube

RDR 2 Low GPU Usage:- YouTube

    Cyberpunk High GPU:- YouTube

    Cyberpunk Low GPU:- YouTube

One thing I have noticed is that this problem only occurs in areas of games with higher overall textures.

I didn’t have this problem for the past 3 years I had this pc. It just suddenly started one day and I have no idea what could be the cause of this. I have tried almost every software related fix and found no success.

Any help is very much appreciated.
