Strange lag spikes only in multiplayer games, but internet is fine

Hi. The Issue I’m having is that I will get random lag. It’s not constant, I’ll be playing fine and then it will lag. Play fine, lag again. It happens in all multiplayer based games except one. I’ve been monitoring task manager and the issue seems to be power related.

It will say the game is using very high power, while cpu, memory and gpu will spike. I’ve never had problems before till recent months and have no clue why. It’s even weirder because there are days and times where I have no problems what so ever.

It seems like it’s internet/connection based since it never happens in sp games. Before anyone asks, I already ruled out that someone could be on Netflix or some other device that also uses internet and that’s not the case. It’s really confusing.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

Include the make and model of the Power Supply Unit if this is a Desktop.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

when playing are you on WiFi or wired?

If WiFi are you connecting via 2.4 G or 5 G

There are several things that can interfere with the signal.

Try wired and see if that makes a difference.
