Low FPS and low GPU usage help??

My boyfriend used to play games with no problem and ever since we moved he’s had massive FPS drops. We went to Best Buy and they ran diagnostics for a pricy amount (even when we already tried at home) and they said hardware was completely fine?? Then told us to remove some software like Razer to improve FPS. That didn’t help. Windows has been completely reinstalled. We tried to go back to the RAM the PC came with, but the monitor wouldn’t turn on after so he put the 4 sticks (32GB) back in and it booted up fine. Nothing else is different from the build he bought besides the RAM.

The parts are an Intel i7-8700k cpu 3.70GHz (12 CPUs), Geforce rtx 2080. He has run games on ultra graphics before with no problem, but now he has to lower the graphics and still has issues.

Internet speed is fine as it works perfectly for my PC when it’s running multiplayer games. We are both on ethernet.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

          Hi,

Have you updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version? Are you overclocking any components? Did you install the latest driver for your video card? Are you using Windows 10 version 20H2?
