Lag problems on Windows 10 - microstuttering?

In the past few years, some speedrunner friends of mine have universally noticed certain problems with running the 1999 game Disney’s Tarzan on Windows 10 (or, more precisely, Windows 8 and above, iirc). While the game seems to run smoothly, after a more extensive look we realised that the in-game speed (but not the FPS) is slightly slower than on Windows 7. So far, we’ve tried the following methods to reduce this lag phenomenon, with little to no success:
    • Running the game on a Virtual Machine with Windows 7 on it
    • Modifying the system timer
    • Using the disabledynamictick and useplatformclock commands
    • dgVoodoo2 (a graphics wrapper that is said to have helped with similar issues before in other games)

So, does anyone here have any other method we could try to solve this issue, or an idea of what might be causing this at all? Thanks for the help in advance!

    Hello

Stop any background programs not needed.. If you have any usb devices un-plug them if not needed. Make sure your win 10 is up to date.
