My son is having a problem playing a game he downloaded, each time he attempts to load it brings up a error message saying: the exception illegal instruction, an attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction (0xc000001d) occurred in the application 0x00007ff69FOE1185 any help would be massively appreciated all other games and programs work fine we have uninstalled an reinstalled the game but with no change

After resetting his PC he now no longer receives the error code but the game will still not runComment

Lets try a clean boot see if that makes a difference.

Nothing comes up no error code now, the loading symbol appears by the mouse cursor then after about 20 seconds the option to start the game becomes available again we will try the clean boot now.

Tried the clean boot, shows that the game is running for 10 seconds but does not load stillComment

Have also tried uninstalling steam re-downloaded it all but still shows it running for a few secs but the game does not load is there anything else we can tryComment
