    FPS help!

Hey! New to the forum so I’m sorry if this kind of thing gets old!
New build and I’m just not getting the frames I thought I’d get!
    build:
    Asus b450m MB
    Ryzen 5 2600x
4x8gb Corsair vengeance 3000mhz docp enabled
    Gtx 1080ti gaming x trio
    Silver stone 1000w platinum psu
    Sceptre 185hz using DP cable

struggling to hit 100 FPS on “normal setting in call of duty warzone and pubg 1080p..
When streaming on twitch I can hardly get 80fps and am running a avg of 75-80% cpu usage. I’m wondering if the older 2600x is bottlenecking my system?
Any help or suggestions are welcomed!!

    Hello Hazardous0p,

The CPU may be a little bit older but no way would it be causing a bottleneck, a much overly used word with not very much understanding on the part of many folk I`m afraid not saying that this is the case on your behalf btw.

The common denominator here is an internet connection is required and so I reckon that here lays the source of your issue/s, either the set up itself or the service that you are receiving from your ISP.

Not even if I’m showing a 80% usage in task manager? Sometimes it will peak up to 90% if I have a few programs open at the same time. Stream labs , game , web browser .. all on 2nd monitor
Forgot to mention I’m running everything off of 2 500gb sata drives
The fastest internet in my area is 50mbps dsl.. as far as effecting output fps thru the stream I can understand that but if I’m playing a non online game there’s still this issue..

Did you check the Processes tab when you were seeing the high CPU usage.

You need to do two things, start with the bare minimum of hardware as in only the one monitor and then test all of your games that you can play that do not require an internet connection, you have too many variables at the moment and this will remove a couple of them.

        Before you start the testing can you do the below for us first, it will give us something to work with meanwhile;

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

No worries but after looking at Speccy the things that we see there that need sorting would not really affect gaming so the below is more important at this time.

                Have you done this yet.

To avoid us having to ask for an update every couple of days we will close this thread until the OP has the time available to work towards resolving the issue, PM a member of staff when you are ready and the thread can be reopened.
