    Warzone makes my sound crash on my PC

    So the sound my PC crashes/stops working when I play Warzone (not multiplayer) and not only in game sound but all sound to PC and I have to restart my PC to get sound back. It happens in all game modes and when I play with other platforms or the same. Does anyone else experience this or know of a fix?

    I have an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU and my sound goes through a Sound Blaster G6 amp connected to my Beyerdynamic 990DT Pro headset.

        Hi,

        Have you tried setting your power plan to high performance in the Control Panel? Are you overclocking any components? What build of Windows 10 are you using? Did you install the latest driver for your video card?

        Try performing a clean boot and see if the same behavior occurs.

          Hi Evan,

          I checked and my power plan is on high performance. I performed a clean boot and the issue still happens.

          All Drivers are updated. Not sure about overclocking but I believe I am overclocking a couple components. I am running Windows 10 Version 2004 (Build 19041.630).

          Like, I mentioned. I am not super knowledgeable about computers so overclocking is a bit beyond me. A friend of mine built this rig for me. Warzone is the only game that causes issues for me.

              Still have not figured out a fix for the issue. I tried the things that @Evan Omo suggested but my sound still crashes when I play Warzone.

                Not much on gaming hardware have you made sure that the onboard audio card is disabled?

                @Bastet may be more help.

                  I’m more of a casual PC gamer. I tend to prefer console games.
                  Are there any updates for the game &/or audio driver?
                  If you don’t use the headset does the audio crash?

                    I disabled Realtek(r) Audio but my sound crashed within 30 seconds of joining a WZ game.

                      Have you removed the Sound Blaster G6 amp and tried the onboard?

                      Other than than would suggest contacting Sound Blaster and looking at their FAQ.

                        I found a reddit thread where someone with the same issue (same amp and headset) was having issues and recommended changing the PCIe from auto to 3 which I did and it seems to be working. I have no idea what this did but it seems to have fixed my issue. thank you all that chimed in for guidance.
